From April 17th to 20th, 2020, the Memorial and Museum Sachsenhausen and the International Sachsenhausen Committee commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the prisoners of the concentration camp Sachsenhausen. You are warmly invited to join the diverse events and encounters surrounding the anniversary.

Friday, April 17th
Death March Memorial in Below Forest
2:30 pm: Start of the commemoration ceremony
Saturday, April 18th – Day of encounters: remembering for today
Memorial and Museum Sachsenhausen
1 pm: Opening of the “Day of encounters” by Dr. Astrid Ley, deputy director of the Memorial and Museum Sachsenhausen
1:30 – 5 pm: Exhibition opening, talks with eyewitness, guided tours through the memorial in German and English, film screenings
2 – 5pm: “Market of possibilities” ("Markt der Möglichkeiten"): presentation of various projects surrounding commemoration
5:30 pm: Franz Bobzien Prize award ceremony
